Allen C. Brotherton

PARTNER - KNOX LAW CENTER
Tel: 704-372-1360
Growing up in rural Lincoln County, Allen was blessed with a brilliant analytical mind and won a full ride to UNC as a Morehead Scholar, including summer programs in business and law. Instead of cashing in, he decided to use those blessings to help people who are in trouble.

“I really care about my clients” says Allen. “Most have a legitimate story to be told but are up against the government or powerful insurance companies. My job is to know the law and the evidence inside-and-out, come up with a winning strategy, and use it to convince the judge or jury.”

I specialize in representing those who have suffered personal injuries from motor vehicle accidents. I fight vigorously for my clients who have been involved in accidents and suffered personal injuries and general damages. I take special interest in each and every injury claim, and without hesitation, expect insurance companies to do the same, in order to make certain you receive all of the compensation to which you are entitled.

Why Choose Knox Law?

Client Service

Our personal approach to client service is evident from the moment you call our firm. During the day, you will talk to a person — not an answering machine. If you need to ask a question, you will not have to go through layers of people to get an answer. Our lawyers try to answer their own phone calls and email and we try to be responsive to your legal needs. We strive to be responsive to your needs.

We Are Trial Lawyers

Our attorneys try cases, and have a proven record of success. When you entrust your case to the Knox Law Center, you can rest assured that we will handle it from beginning to end, whatever it takes. We are experienced litigators who are not afraid of the courtroom.

The Golden Rule

When you visit our office as a new client, we will not evaluate your case from a form. We prefer to take the time to talk to our clients and greet them personally. Since our clients are often friends, neighbors and family members of other satisfied clients, it only seems right to treat them as such friends.

From Our Clients

Our Legal Services

Experienced Charlotte attorneys ready to work for you

Personal Injury

No accident is ever handled the same way. There are never any dumb questions when you walk in our doors. We know the law, but we know that our clients may not know all the ins and outs of what happens when you are in an accident.

Criminal Attorney Cornelius

Criminal Defense

At the Knox Law Center, our criminal defense attorneys work to tip the scales of justice in our clients’ favor. We use innovative legal strategies to protect our clients’ rights and minimize the impact of a criminal charge.

Family Law

Our lawyers work with our clients to equitably resolve divorce disputes and related issues. Many cases require the litigation of the issues related to separation in a courtroom. Others, however, can be resolved outside of the courtroom and are more expeditiously resolved by way of mediation or arbitration.

Wills & Estate Planning

Whether you are starting a family, growing a business, going through a divorce or approaching retirement, your estate plan needs to reflect your goals. At the Knox Law Center, our lawyers understand how changes in your life affect estate planning. They are also prepared to help you through complex estate planning litigation.

Worker's Compensation

If you have been recently injured at work, this may be the first time you have had to deal with North Carolina’s complex workers’ compensation system. The insurance companies that provide this coverage can take advantage of your inexperience. Many people who have valid injury claims do not receive all of the workers’ compensation benefits they deserve because they did not know the rules.

Business Law

When choosing a law firm to handle your business legal matter, experience should be a top priority. At the Knox Law Center in Charlotte and Denver, North Carolina, our attorneys have a combined 60 years of legal experience. We can help you resolve your matter efficiently and effectively.
